The Owners, Laura and Jay Wilkerson
Both of us were born and raised right here in Northeast Florida. Laura is from Fernandina Beach and worked for the Golf Club at Amelia Island and The Ritz-Carlton for almost 20 years. I am from Jacksonville and grew up installing office furniture systems for my father's (and later my own) company. I sold that company in 2002 and have worked for the past 20 years in residential real estate and new home custom construction. We founded First Coast Closets after repeatedly seeing how much builders (if they even offer custom closets) and national franchise closet dealers charged for their custom closets. With Laura's wonderful design ideas and my experience in assembling furniture systems, space planning and custom home building, I knew we could do it better and for less money!
